The Brother TD-2320DSA203 is a 2-inch direct thermal label printer with a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen and built-in keypad. It can print labels from a connected computer or recall templates transferred to the printer for standalone use. This is the 203 dpi wired model with USB-C, USB Host and Ethernet; it does not include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. An AC adaptor, power cord and USB-A to USB-C cable are supplied.

Before you order:
Standalone printing still needs prepared label templates. Brother documents creating and transferring them from Windows with P-touch Editor before recalling them on the LCD. Select compatible direct thermal media: 63 mm is the media-width limit, while printable width is 59 mm. Battery, cutter, peeler and the PA-SCA-002 serial conversion cable are optional.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, prepare a price or ingredient-label layout on a Windows PC, transfer it to the printer, then choose the stored layout on the touchscreen when printing at the counter. This avoids keeping the PC at the point of use; it does not create an automatic stock or food-traceability system.
  • The 127 mm roll capacity reduces roll changes for a compact label station. Choose media for the required label lifetime because direct thermal printing uses heat-sensitive stock without ribbon.

What Will Not Work

  • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth operation and battery-powered mobility are not supplied by this package.
  • Thermal-transfer ribbon printing is not supported. A USB-C connector does not establish USB power-delivery operation.

Can it print without a connected PC?
Yes, using templates previously transferred to the printer and recalled on the touchscreen. Prepare and transfer the layouts with the supported Windows tools first.
Is this the wireless or battery-powered version?
No. This TD-2320DSA203 has wired USB/Ethernet connectivity. PA-BT-004 battery operation is optional; Wi-Fi and Bluetooth belong to other model configurations.
