The Brother BU-223CL is the genuine transfer belt unit for the HL-L3210CW, HL-L3230CDW, HL-L3270CDW, DCP-L3510CDW, DCP-L3550CDW and MFC-L3700 colour LED printers, rated by Brother at approximately 50,000 pages. Order it when the printer shows a belt end-of-life message or when colour prints show repeating marks or uneven density that a new toner and drum have not cured.
The belt transfers each toner colour from the drum to the paper, so it wears with every page you print. It is a user-replaceable part: open the front cover, slide out the drum assembly, remove the old belt and insert the new one, then reset the belt counter from the printer menu.
Before you order: BU-223CL is for the HL-L3210CW / HL-L3270CDW / MFC-L3750CDW generation. The newer HL-L3220CW, HL-L3240CDW, DCP-L3520CDW and MFC-L3760CDW use the BU-229CL belt and will not accept this unit.

- If only one colour is faint or streaky, the cause is usually that colour's toner or the drum, not the belt.

- Not compatible with BU-229CL printers (HL-L3220CW, HL-L3240CDW, DCP-L3520CDW, DCP-L3560CDW, MFC-L3740CDW, MFC-L3760CDW, MFC-L8390CDW).
- Not for HL-L8260CDW, HL-L8360CDW, HL-L9310CDW or mono laser printers.
- It does not replace toner, the drum unit or the waste toner box.
