The Brother PA-AD-003EU is the genuine USB Type-C AC adapter with a European 2-pin plug for Brother's PocketJet 8 (PJ-800 series) mobile A4 printers - the PJ-822, PJ-823, PJ-862, PJ-863 and PJ-883. It is the mains charger for the printer's rechargeable battery, ideal as a replacement for a lost adapter or as a second charger for the office or the vehicle base.

It plugs into a standard wall socket and connects to the printer's USB-C port. Brother notes that this adapter is designed for charging the battery: it is not intended to run the printer on mains power without a battery installed.

Before you order: The PA-AD-003EU charges a printer that has its battery fitted. If you need to print with no battery at all, ask us about the correct Brother power option for your exact model.

Can I use my laptop USB-C charger instead?
Brother supplies and supports the PA-AD-003EU for the PocketJet 8. Third-party USB-C chargers may not provide the power the printer expects, so we recommend the genuine adapter.
Is it the same as the PA-AD-600AEU?
No. The PA-AD-600AEU is a different Brother AC adapter (1.2 m cable) for PJ and selected RJ mobile printers that also powers the printer. If you need to print without a battery, ask us which option suits your model.
Will it charge a battery outside the printer?
No. It charges the battery while it is installed in the printer.
