Brother TN-246Y Original Yellow High-Yield Toner Cartridge, 2,200 Pages, for HL-3142CW, HL-3152CDW and MFC-9342CDW

The Brother TN-246Y is an original Brother high-yield yellow toner cartridge rated for up to 2,200 pages (ISO/IEC 19798), made for the Brother HL-3142CW, HL-3152CDW, HL-3172CDW, DCP-9017CDW, DCP-9022CDW, MFC-9142CDN, MFC-9332CDW and MFC-9342CDW. It suits small offices that still run these reliable colour LED printers.

It prints well over half as many pages again as the standard TN-242Y (approx. 1,400 pages) in the same slot. Note that the series has no high-yield black: the black for these printers is TN-242BK.

• The page count is the manufacturer's declared yield, measured with the ISO/IEC 19798 test method (about 5% coverage per page). Photos, full-page graphics and heavy fills use more toner, so real-world counts are often lower.
• The high-yield TN-246 is offered for cyan, magenta and yellow; for black use the TN-242BK (approx. 2,500 pages).
• The drum (DR-241CL, set of four) is a separate part with its own life — this cartridge replaces only the yellow toner.
• Store unopened cartridges flat in their original packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat, and open the sealed bag only when you install it.
• Before ordering, check the code printed on the cartridge currently in your printer, or the supplies page of the printer menu — matching that code is the fastest way to be sure.

• Printers that are not on the compatible list below, even models with a similar name — supply codes are model-specific.
• Newer Brother HL-L3xxx / DCP-L3xxx / MFC-L3xxx printers — they use TN-243/247 or TN-248 cartridges.
• It cannot be used as a black cartridge — there is no TN-246BK.
