ICY BOX IB-2925MS-CU31 Club Case — 4-Bay USB-C Enclosure for 2× M.2 SSD and 2× 2.5"/3.5" SATA Drives
4 bays: 2× M.2 + 2× SATAUSB 3.2 Gen 2 · 10GbpsNVMe & SATA M.2Aluminium · 12V/4A PSU
The ICY BOX IB-2925MS-CU31 Club Case is a 4-bay external enclosure that takes two M.2 SSDs (NVMe or SATA) and two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives or SSDs at the same time, all connected to the computer through one USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) USB-C port. It is built for people who keep several drives in use — photo and video archives, backup sets, project disks — and want them in one aluminium box on the desk instead of a pile of single enclosures.
Each drive appears to the computer as its own disk, with its own power switch and power/activity LEDs, so you can switch off the bays you are not using. The M.2 slots accept 2230 to 22110 modules with M-key or B+M-key, up to 4TB each; the SATA bays take drives up to 20TB each. A 12V/4A power supply is included, so 3.5" hard drives run without extra power.
Before you order: All four drives share one 10Gbps USB link — fast NVMe SSDs will not reach their internal speed, and RAID, cloning or JBOD spanning are not provided by the enclosure. Connect to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port for full speed.
What's in the Box
- ICY BOX IB-2925MS-CU31 Club Case enclosure
- USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cable, 40 cm
- Power supply 12V / 4A (48W), 150 cm lead
- Manual
What It Means in Practice
- Mount two M.2 SSDs and two 3.5" HDDs in one box — e.g. fast SSDs for active projects and large HDDs for archive.
- Each drive is independent: format, eject or power-off one bay without touching the others.
- Works with USB-C and USB-A ports thanks to the included dual cable; Gen 1 or USB 2.0 ports reduce speed.
- Ideal for copying between drives inside the box, migrating data or reading old drives from retired PCs.
What Will Not Work
- Hardware RAID, mirroring or one-touch cloning — use your operating system or backup software instead.
- Full native NVMe speed — the shared 10Gbps link limits throughput to roughly USB 3.2 Gen 2 rates.
- PCIe M.2 cards with other keys (e.g. Wi-Fi A+E key) or mSATA/U.2 drives.
- Running without the power supply — the enclosure needs its 12V adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use only the M.2 slots?
Yes. Any combination works — the bays are independent and empty bays can stay switched off.
Does it support RAID?
No. Each drive appears separately; use software RAID or backup tools in your OS if you need mirroring.
Will it work on a USB-A port?
Yes, with the included USB-C to USB-A cable; speed depends on the port (10Gbps only on USB 3.2 Gen 2).
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A multi-bay box like this is the tidiest way to keep mixed SSDs and HDDs online for backup and archive work — just remember all bays share one 10Gbps link, so it is about capacity and convenience rather than peak NVMe speed. More single and multi-bay options are in our
HDD/SSD enclosures.
✓ Buy it if you want two M.2 SSDs and two SATA drives connected through one USB-C cable, each as its own disk.
✕ Skip it if you need hardware RAID, a NAS on the network, or full NVMe speed from a single drive.
→ Also consider a single M.2 NVMe USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 enclosure for maximum speed, or a NAS for shared network storage.
