CHERRY KW 3000 — Wireless Keyboard, US with Euro symbol, Black
Low noiseNano receiverGS certifiedPlastic-free packaging
The CHERRY KW 3000 (JK-3000EU-2) is the wireless half of the same office family as the DC 2000, and it is bought for one word: quiet. The keys are low noise with 2.5 mm pre-travel and laser-etched labels that will not rub off, rated at up to 10 million actuations, on a flat full-size layout with arrow keys, a number pad and four hotkeys for the calculator, e-mail, browser and standby. It links over 2.4 GHz through a nano USB receiver with about 10 m of range, runs from a single AAA cell and has a battery status LED above the hotkeys so it never surprises you. Fold-out feet and a non-slip underside keep it in place, it is GS certified, and CHERRY ships it in completely plastic-free packaging using tissue paper. It measures 458 × 170 × 20 mm. In the box: keyboard, nano receiver, one AAA battery and the manual.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: This is the US QWERTY layout with the Euro symbol added — the layout most people in Cyprus type on. Wide Enter key, @ above 2, and letters and numbers where an English speaker expects them. The link is 2.4 GHz through the supplied nano receiver in a free USB-A port — a USB-C-only laptop needs an adapter or a dock. There is no Bluetooth, so it cannot be paired to a tablet or a phone, and it will not work in the BIOS before the operating system loads. One point business buyers should know: CHERRY states explicitly that the wireless link is not encrypted. If your IT policy requires an encrypted wireless keyboard, this is not the model — ask us for one that publishes AES. There is no backlight, no N-key rollover or anti-ghosting and no palm rest. CHERRY lists Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 only. CHERRY publishes no weight and no battery runtime for this model at all, and its own pages disagree on the battery size — the manual and datasheet say AAA (LR03), which is correct, while two marketing lines say AA.

Key Features
Quiet without feeling dead
Low-noise keys with 2.5 mm pre-travel — still a proper stroke, just without the clatter that carries across a room.
Legends that survive the job
Laser-etched labelling rather than printed legends, rated alongside a 10-million-actuation key life.
It tells you about the battery
A dedicated battery status LED above the hotkeys, on a keyboard that runs from one ordinary AAA cell.
Plastic-free packaging
CHERRY packs it in tissue paper and other non-plastic materials, and publishes a PAS 1049 recycling pass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the wireless link encrypted?
No. CHERRY states plainly that there is no encryption in wireless mode. If your policy requires an encrypted keyboard, tell us and we will quote one that publishes AES.
How long does the battery last?
CHERRY does not publish a runtime for the KW 3000 — only that it sleeps when idle and has a battery status LED. We would rather say that than invent a number.
AA or AAA battery?
AAA. CHERRY’s manual and datasheet both say AAA (LR03); two marketing lines on its own site say AA and are wrong.
Which layout is this part number?
This one is US with Euro symbol. CHERRY publishes eight variants of the KW 3000 under separate part numbers.
Singular Expert Insight
Buy the KW 3000 when the complaint is noise and the desk still needs a number pad. The one thing to check first is the unencrypted link — for a home or small office it is a non-issue, for a regulated one it is decisive. See our
