The CHERRY KW 7100 MINI BT (JK-7100EU-22) is the keyboard for a bag. It is a compact 75% board — 78 keys, 295 × 129 mm, 16 mm high — with a solid metal plate under the keys so it does not flex when you type on a train table, and CHERRY includes a carrying case made from recycled plastic. It pairs over Bluetooth 5.1 on three independent channels, so a laptop, a tablet and a phone can all stay paired and you move between them with Fn+F1, F2 or F3. The keys use the CHERRY SX scissor mechanism with flat, slightly concave ABS keycaps — short travel, quiet landing. The link is AES-128 encrypted, there are fold-out feet and an Fn lock, and it runs on two AAA batteries. This part number is the slate blue finish. Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: US International QWERTY is the layout most people in Cyprus type on: wide Enter key, @ above 2. If your current keyboard is UK layout, the Enter key changes shape and a few symbols move, but letters and numbers are identical. There is no numeric keypad — that is how a 75% keyboard gets down to 295 mm and into a bag. It is Bluetooth only: no USB receiver is supplied and there is no 2.4 GHz option, so a desktop PC without Bluetooth needs an adapter, and the keyboard will not work in the BIOS before the operating system loads. CHERRY lists Windows, with Android and Chrome OS with some restrictions — on those platforms a few keys may not map exactly, so tell us what you will pair it with. There is no backlight, no N-key rollover and no anti-ghosting. Power comes from two AAA batteries; CHERRY does not publish a battery-life figure for this model, and does not publish a weight.
