The Chillax CB360 Portable is a DECT digital audio baby monitor from Chillax (Atlinks Europe) in which both units are rechargeable: the baby unit runs for up to 9 hours away from its charging dock and the parent unit for up to 13 hours, with a range of up to 340 m in open field — for families who move around, nap in different rooms or travel to grandparents.

Everything from the CB260 is here: a backlit LCD with the room temperature and programmable temperature alerts, talk-back, a three-level night light, five lullabies, VOX, ECO and Smart ECO modes, and out-of-range and low-battery warnings. What changes is freedom of placement — you can take the baby unit to the garden for an afternoon nap or to a room where the only socket is on the wrong wall.

The link is a closed DECT connection between the two units. There is no Wi-Fi, no app and no account, so there is nothing to configure and nothing leaves your home.

• Cordless baby unit: up to 9 hours per charge covers a night or a long afternoon nap; return it to the dock during the day to keep it topped up.
• Parent unit: up to 13 hours depending on the starting charge — charge it whenever you are in the same room as your baby.
• Range: 340 m is the open-field figure, useful in a garden; indoors Chillax rates up to 50 m, and concrete floors or thick walls reduce it further.
• Temperature alerts: set limits that suit your nursery and the parent unit warns you when the room goes outside them (±0.5 °C accuracy).
• Two listeners: the system supports up to two parent units (the second parent unit is not in the box).

• No video, no app and no remote listening over the internet — this is a local link between the two units only.
• Battery runtimes are maximum figures; night light, lullabies and talk-back use more power and shorten them.
• The temperature sensor reads the room, not your baby.
• It is not designed to pair with DECT cordless phones, other brands of baby monitor or the US Chillax “360 Digital Audio Monitor”, which is a different DECT 6.0 product.
