The Cisco PWR-C1-715WDC= is the 715W DC Config 1 Power Supply for Cisco Catalyst 9300, 9300L and 9300X switches in sites that run on DC power, such as telecom rooms and data centres. It accepts −36 to −72 V DC (−48 V nominal) and delivers 715 W. It is connected through a DC terminal block with four 14-gauge copper leads and a separate ground wire, so installation is a job for an electrician. It weighs 1.3 kg and is hot-swappable. In practice it lets a Catalyst 9300 run from a −48 V DC plant instead of mains.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Cisco power supplies are not interchangeable between families: Config 1 (PWR-C1) fits the Catalyst 9300, 9300L and 9300X; Config 5 (PWR-C5) the Catalyst 9200L; Config 6 (PWR-C6) the Catalyst 9200 and 9300LM. It needs a −48 V DC supply at your site — it has no AC inlet. It does not fit the Catalyst 9300LM or the 9200 family, which have their own DC supplies (PWR-C5/C6-715WDC). Cisco does not describe mixing AC and DC supplies in one switch. Cisco does not state whether a power cord ships with the spare module, so confirm the cord when you order. Not sure?
