The Cisco PWR-C4-950WAC-R= is the 950W AC Config 4 Power Supply with front-to-back cooling for the first-generation Cisco Catalyst 9500 fixed switches: the C9500-12Q, C9500-16X, C9500-24Q and C9500-40X. The “=” at the end marks the spare, sold on its own to replace a failed unit or to add the second supply for redundancy. It accepts 90–264 V AC, delivers 950 W at 94% efficiency and is hot-swappable; with two units installed, the switch shares the load between them in 1+1 redundant mode. In practice it keeps a core or distribution switch running through a power supply failure.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Not every Catalyst 9500 takes this supply. Cisco lists it only for the C9500-12Q, -16X, -24Q and -40X. The Catalyst 9500 High Performance models (C9500-32C, -32QC, -48Y4C, -24Y4C) use C9K-PWR-650WAC-R or C9K-PWR-1600WAC-R, and the Catalyst 9500X uses C9K-PWR-1500WAC. It is also not a Catalyst 9400 supply (those use C9400-PWR-*). No power cord is included — Cisco sells regional cords separately. There is a DC version, PWR-C4-950WDC-R. Not sure?
