Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a non-PoE data switch - powered devices need a separate PoE injector or switch. The four SFP uplinks are 1 Gigabit (not 10G) and need 1G transceivers (sold separately); they also serve as stacking links. Layer 3 covers static and RIP routing plus policy-based routing (no OSPF). Up to eight Catalyst 1300 switches can be stacked and managed as one.
