Cisco Catalyst 9300X 24-Port 10G Multigigabit UPOE+ Switch, Network Advantage
24x 10G mGigUPOE+ up to 90 WStackWise-1TNetwork Advantage
The Cisco Catalyst 9300X C9300X-24HX-A is a stackable 24-port switch whose copper ports run at 100 Mbps, 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 Gbps (Multigigabit) with Cisco UPOE+ power, plus a modular uplink slot for C9300X network modules up to 100G, licensed with Network Advantage. It is the access switch for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points, high-power PoE devices and high-throughput edge sites.
The X model adds a much faster forwarding engine (800 Gbps switching capacity), StackWise-1T stacking, more memory and support for 25G and 100G uplink modules, compared with the classic Catalyst 9300.
Before you order: Uplinks are modular: C9300X-NM-8M, C9300X-NM-8Y or C9300X-NM-2C fit this model; the module is part of the order configuration and may not be included. Cisco also requires a DNA/Catalyst Advantage subscription term (3, 5 or 7 years). Tell us which module and term you need.
What's in the Box
- Catalyst 9300X switch with one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P power supply and three hot-swappable fan modules installed
- AC power cord
- 19-inch rack-mount brackets with screws, cable guide, ground lug and rubber feet
- Uplink network module, StackWise-1T cable, StackPower cable and console cables are separate Cisco parts unless ordered with the switch
What It Means in Practice
- Every port can feed a Wi-Fi 7 access point at 5G or 10G — no bottleneck between the AP and the switch.
- UPOE+ delivers up to 90 W per port, but the total budget is 735 W with one 1100 W PSU; two 1100 W PSUs give 1835 W, a 1900 W pair up to 2160 W.
- Uplink options: 8x mGig (NM-8M), 8x 25G (NM-8Y) or 2x 100G (NM-2C).
- Up to eight C9300X switches stack over StackWise-1T (1 Tbps) with StackPower+.
What Will Not Work
- C9300 (non-X) network modules and the C9300X-NM-4C do not fit this model.
- It does not stack with classic C9300 (StackWise-480) or Catalyst 9200 switches.
- The full 90 W on many ports at once needs a second power supply.
- Optics, stack cables and the uplink module are not included unless ordered.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need special cabling for 10G?
10GBASE-T runs to 100 m on Cat6A; 2.5G and 5G work on most existing Cat5e/Cat6 runs.
Which uplink module should I choose?
NM-8Y for 25G to a modern core, NM-2C for 100G, NM-8M for extra mGig ports. Tell us your core switch and we will match it.
Is the subscription included?
The switch carries a perpetual Network Advantage license; Cisco requires a DNA/Catalyst Advantage subscription term on new orders. We can quote it with the switch.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Buy the C9300X-24HX-A when the edge needs speed: Wi-Fi 7 APs, 10G workstations or dense high-power PoE. The real cost decisions are the uplink module, the second power supply and the subscription term — settle all three in one order. See our other
network switches for Gigabit-only models.
✓ Buy it if you deploy Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points or 10G clients and need UPOE+ with Cisco enterprise stacking.
✕ Skip it if your clients are Gigabit only — a Catalyst 9300 or 9200 costs far less.
→ Also consider the C9300-24U-E for Gigabit UPOE at a lower price.
Send us your AP models, cabling category and core switch and we will confirm module, PSUs and subscription before you order.
