Cisco C9400-PWR-3200AC= — 3200 W AC Power Supply for Catalyst 9400 Chassis
3200 W at 200–240 V ACPlatinum ratedHot-swappableC9404R / C9407R / C9410R
The Cisco C9400-PWR-3200AC= is the 3200 W AC power supply module (spare) for Cisco Catalyst 9400 Series modular switches — the C9404R, C9407R and C9410R chassis — used to replace a failed unit, add N+1 or N+N redundancy, or raise the power available to line cards and PoE.
On 200–240 V AC it delivers 3200 W; on 100–120 V AC the output drops to 1570 W. The module is Platinum rated, hot-swappable, self-cooled, and has a front on/off switch, release latch and cord-retention mechanism. It requires an IEC C19 power cord rated 16 A (or 20 A, depending on country).
Before you order: Needs a C19 power cord and a 16 A circuit — a standard C13 kettle cord or 10 A outlet will not work. In Cyprus/EU, Cisco lists cords such as CAB-CEE77-C19-EU and CAB-I309-C19-INTL; the UPS cord is CAB-C19-CBN.
What's in the Box
- Cisco C9400-PWR-3200AC= power supply module
- Power cord: not stated as included — Cisco sells C19 cords as separate part numbers; tell us your socket type and we quote the right one
What It Means in Practice
- Plan on 230 V: in Cyprus and Europe the full 3200 W is available, while on a 110 V feed the same module gives only 1570 W.
- Add modules for N+1 redundancy (one spare) or N+N (separate power grids A and B) — chassis bays: 4 on C9404R, 8 on C9407R and C9410R.
- Each module needs its own 16 A feed: check your rack PDU outlets (C19) and circuit breakers before ordering several units.
- Hot-swappable: replace a failed module while the switch keeps running on the remaining supplies.
- Requires Cisco IOS XE 16.6.1 or later on the chassis.
What Will Not Work
- Will not fit Catalyst 9300, 9200 or 9500/9600 switches.
- Will not run from a C13/10 A cord or a standard office power strip.
- No DC input — for -48 V DC sites use a Cisco DC module.
- On 100–120 V it cannot deliver 3200 W (only 1570 W).

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a power cord?
Cisco does not state that a cord is included with the spare; C19 cords are separate part numbers. Tell us your socket (Schuko, IEC 60309 or UPS C20) and we will add the right cord.
How many do I need?
Add up the chassis power (supervisors, line cards, PoE) and add one module for N+1 or double the set for N+N. Send us your configuration and we will calculate it.
Can I mix it with other C9400 supplies?
Cisco's Catalyst 9400 chassis accept several AC/DC supply types; the power budget then depends on the mix. Ask us before mixing models.
