The Cisco Desk Phone 9871 is the touchscreen model of Cisco’s 9800 Series. It runs one firmware across Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Webex Calling, Webex Dedicated Instance, BroadWorks and other third-party SIP platforms, so the same phone keeps working if you move from on-premises to cloud. It has a 5-inch 1280 x 720 colour touchscreen, a Gigabit switch, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-A and USB-C ports and a TPM 2.0 security chip. This code is the Carbon Black version.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The 9871 has no physical line keys — lines and features are on the touchscreen. It is not a native Microsoft Teams phone: Cisco lists it as compatible with Microsoft SIP Gateway. Cisco sells the power adapter separately: use a PoE Class 3 port or order the Cisco Power Adapter 3 (EU: CP-PWR-ADPT-3-EU=); full USB charging output needs the adapter. The light-coloured First Light version is a different code, DP-9871-L-K9=. Tell us the phone system or provider you use and we check compatibility before you buy.
