Cisco Room Kit EQ PTZ 4K — Codec EQ, 4K PTZ Camera and Room Navigator for Large Rooms
Codec EQPTZ 4K · 20x opticalRoom NavigatorWebex · Teams Rooms
The Cisco Room Kit EQ PTZ 4K is a modular video conferencing kit that combines the Codec EQ, the Cisco PTZ 4K camera with 20x optical zoom and a Room Navigator touch panel, built for large meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms and auditoriums. It runs Cisco RoomOS and joins Webex natively, or can run Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android.
This is the kit for rooms where a video bar is not enough: the camera sits wherever it frames the room best, the codec drives up to three 4K displays, and microphones and speakers are chosen to suit the room acoustics. It is an integrator-style system — plan the microphones, speakers and displays together with the kit.
Before you order: The kit contains no microphones and no speakers. Plan Cisco Table Mic Pro or Ceiling Mic Pro (or Table/Ceiling Mic G2) and external speakers, plus displays and camera brackets, which are all sold separately.
What's in the Box
- Cisco Codec EQ (CS-CODEC-EQ-K9)
- Cisco PTZ 4K Camera (CS-CAM-PTZ4K)
- Cisco Room Navigator, table stand version, First Light (CS-T10-TS-L)
- Regional power cord
- Microphones, speakers, displays and camera brackets are not included
What It Means in Practice
- The Codec EQ has four PoE++ ports (90 W budget) that power the PTZ 4K camera, the Room Navigator and other Cisco peripherals — fewer power bricks in the room.
- Three HDMI outputs at up to 4K60 let you run a main screen, a second screen for content and a third for the far end or a confidence monitor.
- The PTZ 4K camera gives 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps with 20x optical zoom — it can frame a presenter at the back of a long room without losing detail.
- Content can be shared over HDMI or USB-C, and the codec has Wi-Fi 6E for wireless sharing on the room network.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work as a complete room on its own: without microphones and speakers nobody in the room will be heard or hear the far end.
- It is not a USB webcam for a laptop — the camera connects to the codec over HDMI and the system runs RoomOS.
- The PTZ camera brackets (wall CS-PTZ4K-BRKT, ceiling CS-PTZ4K-CLNGMNT) are not in the box — order them if the camera will not sit on a shelf.
- AES67 audio networking needs an additional AV Integrator licence.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which microphones should I add?
For most rooms Cisco Table Mic Pro or Ceiling Mic Pro; up to eight IP microphones can be connected. Tell us the room size and table layout and we will size it.
Can it run Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Yes — the kit supports Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android as an alternative to Webex mode. Each mode needs its own room licence.
Do I need a separate PoE switch for the camera and Navigator?
No — the Codec EQ powers them from its own PoE++ ports. You only need a normal network connection for the codec.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The Room Kit EQ PTZ 4K is a building block, not a plug-and-play bar: its value is the 20x optical camera and the freedom to place mics and speakers where the room needs them. Budget the full room — microphones, speakers, two
commercial displays and brackets — before you order.
✓ Buy it if you are fitting a boardroom, training room or auditorium and want Cisco RoomOS with a long-zoom camera and up to three screens.
✕ Skip it if the room seats six or fewer — a Cisco Room Bar or another all-in-one video bar is simpler and cheaper.
→ Also consider the Cisco Room Navigator wall-mount version for scheduling outside the room, and Cisco Ceiling Mic Pro for clean tables.
