The Club 3D CAC-HMD>DFD is a compact passive adapter with an HDMI 1.4 male plug and a DVI-D Single Link female socket, so an HDMI output can drive a DVI monitor through an existing DVI cable. Part number CAC-HMD>DFD needs no external power and suits office PCs, graphics cards and mini PCs that only have HDMI outputs but must connect to older DVI monitors.
Compatibility Note: DVI-D is digital only: the adapter will not work with VGA/DVI-A cables or analogue monitors. Club 3D specifies it as one-way, HDMI source to DVI display, and HDMI audio is not carried over DVI.
