Club 3D CAC-1588 USB-C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter with 100W PD

Drive an 8K60 or 4K120 HDMI display from a USB-C laptop while keeping it charged through the same port.
8K60 · 4K120HDMI 2.1 output100W PD pass-throughHDCP 2.3
The Club 3D CAC-1588 is an active USB-C to HDMI 2.1 adapter that outputs up to 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz from a DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode USB-C port, aimed at ultrabook, MacBook and tablet users connecting a TV or monitor. Part number CAC-1588 adds a USB-C PD 3.0 input, so a laptop charger of up to 100W can pass power through while the screen is connected; it also carries Dynamic HDR10+, 4:4:4 colour and HDCP 2.3 for protected streaming.
Compatibility Note: The USB-C port on your computer must support DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP 1.4). 8K60 and 4K120 rely on DSC 1.2a, so the source GPU and the display both need DSC and HDMI 2.1 support; otherwise the adapter falls back to lower modes. It is one-way only (USB-C source to HDMI display).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the CAC-1588 and the CAC-1587?
The CAC-1588 is a short adapter with an HDMI female port and a 100W USB-C PD charging input, so you use your own HDMI cable and can charge the laptop at the same time. The CAC-1587 is a 3 m USB-C to HDMI male cable with no charging port and HDCP 2.2.
Does the CAC-1588 work with a MacBook?
Yes, on MacBooks whose USB-C/Thunderbolt ports provide DisplayPort Alt Mode. The maximum refresh and resolution you get are set by the Mac itself — many models cap HDMI output below 8K60 or 4K120.
Singular Expert Insight
The CAC-1588 is the adapter to pick if your laptop has only one or two USB-C ports: you get an HDMI 2.1 screen and charging from the same port, and you can reuse any Ultra High Speed HDMI cable of the length you need. For a fixed desk run without charging, the CAC-1587 cable version removes one connection; the older CAC-1586 covers 4K120 without PD.
✓ Buy it if you want 4K120 gaming or an 8K TV from a DP Alt Mode laptop and need to keep it charged at up to 100W.
✕ Skip it if your USB-C port has no DisplayPort Alt Mode — the adapter cannot create video from a data-only port.
→ Also consider Club 3D CAC-1587 (3 m USB-C to HDMI cable) for a single-cable connection without charging.
