Club 3D CAC-1421 — USB-A to 5 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
5 GigabitUSB-A 10 GbpsRealtek RTL8157Black
The Club 3D CAC-1421 is an USB-A to 5 Gigabit Ethernet adapter that adds a wired 5 Gigabit Ethernet port to a laptop, desktop PC, tablet or thin client through its USB-A port. Club 3D specifies a 10 Gbps USB-A input for it. It is built on the Realtek RTL8157 controller and connects at 10/100/1000/2500/5000 Mbps. It draws its power from the USB port, so there is no separate power supply to carry. A cable connection is the dependable answer when Wi-Fi is weak, crowded or not allowed, when a slim laptop has no network socket, or when backups, large downloads and video calls need a steady, low-latency link.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the port: the adapter has a USB-A plug; on a laptop that only has USB-C ports, choose a USB-C model instead. 5 Gbps needs two things: a 5G-capable (NBASE-T or 10G) switch or NAS port, and a 10 Gbps USB port on the computer — on a 5 Gbps USB port the adapter cannot reach its full speed. With a Gigabit switch it runs at 1 Gbps. Operating systems listed by Club 3D: Windows 11, macOS Sequoia/Tahoe. Not sure it suits your laptop, dock or switch? Tell us the model and we check it.

Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the CAC-1421 for desktops with a 10 Gbps USB-A port (USB 3.2 Gen 2) and a 5G- or 10G-capable switch or NAS. On a 5 Gbps USB port the CAC-1420 (2.5G) is the better match. Browse more network cards or network switches. Local support in Cyprus comes with every order.
