Compatibility — check before buying:
The DisplayPort plug goes into the computer and the VGA socket takes the cable to the display; the adapter converts in one direction only and cannot feed a DisplayPort monitor from a VGA source. VGA is analogue and video-only, so no audio passes through — sound needs its own cable. Club 3D publishes the maximum resolution two ways on the same page: the specification table says Full HD 60Hz while the description says up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz, which is WUXGA; treat 1920 x 1200 60Hz as the ceiling and expect nothing above it.
