The Club 3D CAC-1523 is a 1 m USB-C to USB-A cable for USB 3.1 Gen 2 data at up to 10Gbps, rated by Club 3D for USB Power Delivery 2.0 up to 20V/3A (60W), for connecting USB-C drives, phones and tablets to computers and chargers with USB-A ports.
It is the cable for the most common mismatch in an office: a new USB-C SSD, phone or card reader and a desktop PC or older laptop with USB-A ports. At 10Gbps it does not slow down a portable SSD, and the reversible USB-C end goes in either way.
Before you order: Most USB-A ports and USB-A chargers supply only a few watts; the 60W rating only matters where the USB-A source supports it. For fast laptop charging use a USB-C to USB-C cable with a USB-C PD charger.

- Portable SSDs: up to 10Gbps on a USB 3.1/3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) USB-A port; 5Gbps on USB 3.0 ports.
- Phones and tablets: sync and charge USB-C phones from a PC or a USB-A charger.
- Card readers and hubs: connect USB-C accessories to desktops without USB-C.
- Systems: Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, no drivers.
What Will Not Work
- No video: USB-A ports do not carry DisplayPort, so it will not connect a monitor.
- It will not fast-charge a laptop from a normal USB-A port.
- It does not fit a USB-C port at the computer end; for USB-C to USB-C use a C-to-C cable.
- It will not reach 10Gbps on USB 3.0 (5Gbps) or USB 2.0 ports.
