Club 3D CAC-1406 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Active Extension Cable 15 m
Extend a USB 3 device up to 15 m from the computer without a separate extender box.
15 m active repeaterUSB 3.2 Gen 1 5GbpsUSB-A M to USB-A FPlug and play
The Club 3D CAC-1406 is a 15-metre USB 3.2 Gen 1 active repeater extension cable, USB-A male to USB-A female, that carries data at up to 5Gbps so a webcam, hub, scanner or storage device can sit far away from the computer. Built-in repeaters regenerate the signal along the run, which passive USB 3 cables cannot do beyond about 3 m.
It is plug and play on Windows and macOS with no drivers. A Micro-USB power input and the included 1 m USB-A to Micro-USB cable (CAC-1408) let you add external 5V power at the far end for power-hungry devices; Club 3D recommends a 5V/2.4A (12W) supply.
Compatibility Note: For reliable operation with bus-powered devices such as webcams, hubs or portable drives, connect an external 5V/2.4A USB power supply to the Micro-USB input. The cable is directional (USB-A male to the computer, USB-A female to the device) and cannot be daisy-chained with other active extenders.

Singular Expert Insight
We recommend the CAC-1406 as a cost-effective way to move a USB 3 device up to 15 m from the PC — classrooms, reception kiosks, printers and conference cameras. It needs power at the far end for demanding devices. If the run goes inside walls or ceilings, or you need 10Gbps, the Logitech Strong USB 939-001799 is the professional option.
✓ Buy it if you need 5Gbps USB 3 over 15 m for a camera, hub, scanner or drive and can add 5V power at the device end.
✕ Skip it if the cable goes inside walls or conduit (not plenum rated) or you need 10Gbps.
→ Also consider Logitech Strong USB 939-001799 (10 m, 10Gbps, plenum-rated optical).
