Club 3D CSV-1478 USB-C / USB-A to Dual DisplayPort 4K60 Video Splitter
2× DisplayPort 4K60DisplayLink DL6950USB-C + USB-A hostExtended desktop
The Club 3D CSV-1478 is a USB-C to dual DisplayPort video splitter with an included USB-A adapter that drives two independent 4K60 monitors through DisplayLink DL6950 technology, for laptops and desktops that need a second and third screen. Part number CSV-1478 works on USB-C ports with or without DP Alt Mode and on plain USB-A 5 Gbps ports.
Unlike a DP MST hub, each monitor gets its own extended desktop even on Apple silicon Macs (M1/M2 and newer), which natively support only one external display on base models. The compact 9 × 6.1 cm housing has an 18.5 cm attached host cable.
Compatibility note: DisplayLink requires the free driver (Windows) or DisplayLink Manager (macOS) to be installed; without it no image appears. The host port must deliver USB 5 Gbps for dual 4K60. Rendering runs through the host CPU/GPU and the driver, so this adapter is aimed at office, coding and dashboard work rather than fast gaming.
Key Features
Two independent 4K60 screens
Each DisplayPort 1.2 output supports up to 4K at 60 Hz, and both can run simultaneously as separate extended desktops.
USB-C or USB-A host
The captive USB-C plug has a USB-A adapter, so the same splitter works with new USB-C laptops and older PCs with only USB-A 5 Gbps ports.
Multi-monitor on Apple silicon
Because DisplayLink does not depend on DP Alt Mode or MST, base M1/M2 MacBooks can extend to two external monitors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Club 3D CSV-1478 work with a MacBook Air M1 or M2?
Yes. Base Apple silicon Macs support only one external display natively, but the CSV-1478 uses DisplayLink, so after installing DisplayLink Manager both DisplayPort monitors work as separate extended screens.
Can I use the CSV-1478 on a PC that only has USB-A ports?
Yes. Fit the included USB-A adapter onto the USB-C plug and connect it to a USB 5 Gbps (USB 3.x) port. Dual 4K60 needs the full 5 Gbps link; a USB 2.0 port is not suitable.
What is the difference between the CSV-1478 and a DisplayPort MST hub such as the Club 3D CSV-7330?
An MST hub splits the GPU’s DisplayPort signal and needs MST support on the host (Windows only). The CSV-1478 creates its displays through the DisplayLink driver, so it also works on Macs and on ports without video output, at the cost of some CPU load and less suitability for gaming.
Singular Expert Insight
The CSV-1478 is the practical fix for the most common dual-monitor problem we see: a MacBook Air or a USB-C laptop that will only mirror or drive one external screen. For spreadsheets, trading dashboards or development work it is simpler than a dock, and the USB-A adapter keeps it useful on older office PCs. If you need native GPU output for gaming or colour work, a DP Alt Mode or MST solution from our
video splitters range is the better choice.
✓ Buy it if you need two extended 4K60 DisplayPort monitors from one USB-C or USB-A port, including on base Apple silicon Macs.
✕ Skip it if you cannot install drivers on the computer or you want the displays for fast-paced gaming.
