Club 3D CAC-1092 — DisplayPort 2.1 VESA DP80 Certified Cable, 1.6 m

VESA DP80 Certified80 Gbps UHBR208K240Hz or 10K60HzFully Bi-Directional

The Club 3D CAC-1092 is a 1.6-metre male-to-male DisplayPort 2.1 cable, VESA DP80 certified for the full 80 Gbps UHBR20 link rate, aimed at gamers and creative professionals driving high-refresh or ultra-high-resolution DisplayPort monitors. Club 3D lists it under part number CAC-1092 with EAN 8719214473204, and its official datasheet rates it for resolutions up to 8K240Hz or 10K60Hz with Display Stream Compression 1.2 and Forward Error Correction. The cable is fully bi-directional, so either end can face the source, and it stays downwards compatible with older DisplayPort hardware. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Both ends are full-size DisplayPort, so for a Mini DisplayPort or USB-C host you will need one of Club 3D’s adapter or conversion cables — this is the only caveat Club 3D prints on the datasheet. The 80 Gbps ceiling requires a UHBR20-capable graphics card and monitor at both ends; on DP 1.4 or DP 1.2 hardware the cable simply negotiates the lower rate and works normally. Club 3D does not publish an HDCP version, an operating-temperature range or a connector-plating spec for this cable, and publishes no GPU, driver, macOS or Thunderbolt restrictions.

Key Features

DP80 certified, not just “DisplayPort 2.1”
Club 3D has this cable certified to the VESA DP80 tier, the top DisplayPort 2.1 cable class, covering the UHBR10, UHBR13.5 and UHBR20 link rates for a full 80 Gbps of bandwidth. Cables sold as plain DisplayPort 2.1 are often DP40 or DP54 and cannot carry UHBR20.

8K240Hz headroom with DSC 1.2
The official datasheet rates the cable for resolutions up to 8K240Hz or 10K60Hz, with Display Stream Compression 1.2 and Forward Error Correction, plus up to 32 inline audio channels. Club 3D’s shop specification table quotes the same 8K240Hz ceiling alongside 4K720Hz with DSC.

Bi-directional, UltraFlex jacket, locking plugs
Club 3D states the cable is fully bi-directional, so orientation does not matter when you plug it in. It uses 24 AWG conductors in a soft UltraFlex jacket with locking DisplayPort connectors, weighs 166 g and is RoHS, FCC and CE EMI compliant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the CAC-1092 really deliver 80 Gbps?
Yes, within the limits of your hardware. The cable is VESA DP80 certified, which covers the UHBR20 link rate and 80 Gbps of bandwidth, but the resolution and refresh rate you actually get are negotiated between your graphics card and your monitor. On a DP 1.4 or DP 1.2 system the cable works normally at that system’s rate, because Club 3D states it is downwards compatible with older DisplayPort standards.
Which way round do I plug it in?
Either way. Club 3D describes the CAC-1092 as fully bi-directional, so you do not have to identify a source end and a display end. Both connectors are full-size DisplayPort males with locking latches, and the cable is 1.6 m long.
What is the difference between the CAC-1092 and the CAC-1091, CAC-1094 and CAC-1093?
Length and bandwidth tier. The CAC-1091 is the same DP80 cable at 1.2 m, the CAC-1092 is 1.6 m, and the CAC-1094 is 2 m, also DP80 at 80 Gbps. The CAC-1093 stretches to 3 m but drops to the DP54 tier at 54 Gbps. If your host has USB-C instead of full-size DisplayPort, Club 3D’s CAC-1563 is the USB-C to DisplayPort 2.1 DP54 equivalent.
What do I need to know before buying the CAC-1092?
Check that both ends of your setup have full-size DisplayPort sockets, because this cable has no USB-C or Mini DisplayPort connector and Club 3D directs you to a separate adapter cable for those hosts. Confirm that your GPU and monitor support UHBR20 if you want the full 80 Gbps; otherwise the cable still works, just at your hardware’s rate. The box contains the cable only.
Singular Expert Insight
Buy the CAC-1092 for its certification rather than its length. DP80 is the tier that actually carries UHBR20, and many cables marketed simply as “DisplayPort 2.1” are DP40 or DP54 and quietly cap you below 80 Gbps. If your monitor and graphics card are both UHBR20-capable, this is the cable that gets out of the way; if they are not, a DP 1.4 HBR3 cable from our DisplayPort cables and converters range costs less and performs identically today. The 1.6 m length is the sensible middle of the DP80 family — long enough for a tower beside or under the desk, and 2 m is as far as the DP80 tier stretches, in the CAC-1094, before the family drops to DP54. It only earns its price alongside a UHBR20-capable graphics card.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

Your GPU and monitor both speak DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20, or you are buying ahead of that upgrade and want the 80 Gbps ceiling already in place. 1.6 m suits a desktop tower beside or under the desk, and the DP80 certification means the 8K240Hz / 10K60Hz rating is a tested tier, not marketing shorthand.

Skip it if

Your hardware tops out at DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 and will not be upgraded soon — you would be paying for 80 Gbps you cannot use. Skip it too if your laptop only offers USB-C or Mini DisplayPort, since both ends here are full-size DP and Club 3D directs you to a separate adapter cable.

Also consider

CAC-1091 if 1.2 m is enough, CAC-1094 if you need 2 m, the longest DP80 cable Club 3D makes, or CAC-1093 for a 3 m run at the lower DP54 54 Gbps tier. For a USB-C host, the CAC-1563 is Club 3D’s USB-C to DisplayPort 2.1 DP54 cable.
