The Auerswald 90678 is the COMmander 8S0-R Module, an ISDN BRI expansion card for the Auerswald COMmander 6000R (90671) and 6000RX (90672) rack phone systems. It adds eight S0 ports: four can be switched between external and internal use, and four are internal only. External ports support Euro-ISDN DSS-1 in point-to-multipoint or point-to-point mode, and internal ports support DSS-1 point-to-multipoint for ISDN phones and devices. Two RJ45 ISDN cables are included. In practice it connects ISDN lines, ISDN phones or legacy ISDN equipment such as door stations and fax devices to a COMmander 6000R system.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Only for the COMmander 6000R and 6000RX. The “-R” version is made for these rack systems; the non-R COMmander 8S0 Module is a different card. Please note: Auerswald lists the COMmander 6000R as end-of-support since August 2026, with service and repair until August 2028 — if you are planning a new installation, ask us about current systems first.
