The Conceptronic CTC4USB3 turns one USB-C port into four full-size USB-A sockets at up to 5 Gbps. What separates it from the many hubs that do the same thing is the socket on the side: a 5 V DC jack that lets you feed the hub externally when four devices ask for more current than the laptop will give. The body is 101 mm long in black, weighs 35 g and connects on a 15 cm cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB-C. Conceptronic sells the visually identical C4PUSB3 with a USB-A plug instead — same body, same four ports, same power jack, and a hub that will not fit your machine if you order the wrong one. This page is the USB-C version. No mains adapter is supplied: the box holds a USB-DC power cable, which lets you feed the jack from another USB port or a phone charger, but if you want a proper mains supply for the jack you buy it separately. The jack is 3.5 x 1.35 mm. Conceptronic states Power Delivery is not supported, so the hub cannot charge your laptop, and there is no video output and no Ethernet. The published operating systems are Windows XP through 10 and macOS 10.6 or newer.
