Conceptronic HUBBIES04B — 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with a USB-C Adapter
4 x USB-A at 5 GbpsUSB-C adapter includedOnly 66 mm long39 g
The Conceptronic HUBBIES04B is one of the smallest four-port USB 3.0 hubs around — 66 mm long, 39 g, on a 15 cm cable. It plugs into a USB-A port and gives back four USB-A sockets at up to 5 Gbps, and a USB-C adapter is supplied in the box so the same hub also works on a USB-C laptop, tablet or phone.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The hub itself is USB-A. USB-C compatibility comes from the small adapter in the box, not from a native connector — fine when the hub moves between machines, less good when it lives permanently on a USB-C-only laptop and the adapter becomes another thing to lose. Conceptronic’s HUBBIES07B is the version with a native USB-C plug. The hub is bus-powered, Conceptronic states no Power Delivery, and there is no video output and no Ethernet. That makes it right for keyboards, mice, dongles, flash drives, card readers and one bus-powered SSD — not for two spinning hard drives, and not for charging a laptop.
Best For
✓ Laptop bags — 66 mm is shorter than most four-port hubs
✓ Desks that mix USB-A desktops and USB-C laptops
✓ Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers and dongles
✓ Flash drives and card readers
✓ One bus-powered external SSD at full 5 Gbps
✓ Phones and tablets that support USB-C OTG
Key Features
Genuinely small
66 mm long, 21 mm wide and 39 g. Most four-port hubs are 90 to 110 mm; this one is closer to a large USB stick, which is the whole reason to pick it.
Works on both connector types
A USB-A plug for desktops and older laptops, plus a USB-C adapter in the box for MacBooks, Chromebooks, tablets and phones. One hub covers a mixed fleet.
5 Gbps on all four ports
USB 3.2 Gen 1 SuperSpeed, backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices at their own rates. The bandwidth is shared, so one drive at a time gets the full amount.
Nothing to install or carry
Plug and play, no drivers, no power adapter. The box holds the hub, the USB-C adapter and a multilingual quick installation guide.

Singular Expert Insight
The reason to choose this over the other HUBBIES hubs is length: 66 mm puts it closer to a flash drive than to a hub, and that is what decides whether it stays in the bag or gets left behind. The USB-C adapter widens where it can be used, but be honest with yourself about whether the hub will move — if it lives on one USB-C laptop, a native-C model is the better buy because the adapter is the part that goes missing. Otherwise this is a sound 5 Gbps hub for flash drives, receivers and one external SSD.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want the smallest four-port USB 3.0 hub that still runs at full speed, and you want it to plug into both USB-A and USB-C machines.
Skip it if
Skip it if the hub will live permanently on a USB-C-only laptop, if you need power for several drives, or if video or Ethernet are required.
Also consider
Conceptronic HUBBIES07B for a native USB-C plug, HUBBIES06B for the aluminium version, or a hub with its own mains adapter if several drives will run at once.
