Conceptronic HUBBIES06B — 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with a USB-C Adapter
4 x USB-A at 5 GbpsUSB-C adapter includedAluminium, 42 g20 cm cable
The Conceptronic HUBBIES06B is a four-port USB 3.0 hub with a USB-A plug, sold with a USB-C OTG adapter in the box so the same hub also works on a USB-C laptop, tablet or phone. The aluminium body measures 87.5 x 23.4 x 16.5 mm and weighs 42 g, on a fixed 20 cm cable, with all four ports running at up to 5 Gbps.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The hub itself is USB-A. The USB-C compatibility comes from a small adapter supplied in the box, not from a native USB-C connector — so on a USB-C-only laptop you are relying on a separate part that can be lost or left behind. If your machine has no USB-A port at all and the hub will live on that desk permanently, Conceptronic’s HUBBIES07B is the same aluminium hub with a native USB-C plug and no adapter to keep track of. The hub is bus-powered, Conceptronic states no Power Delivery, and there is no video output and no Ethernet. That makes it right for keyboards, mice, dongles, flash drives, card readers and one bus-powered SSD — not for two spinning hard drives, and not for charging a laptop.
Best For
✓ Desks that mix USB-A desktops and USB-C laptops
✓ One hub that has to follow a person between machines
✓ Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers and dongles
✓ Flash drives and card readers
✓ One bus-powered external SSD at full 5 Gbps
✓ Phones, tablets and handheld consoles with USB-C OTG
Key Features
Works on both connector types
A USB-A plug for desktops and older laptops, plus a USB-C OTG adapter in the box for MacBooks, Chromebooks, tablets and phones. One hub covers a mixed fleet.
5 Gbps on all four ports
USB 3.0 SuperSpeed, backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices at their own rates. The bandwidth is shared, so one drive at a time gets the full amount.
Aluminium casing
Conceptronic uses aluminium rather than plastic, which spreads the heat four active ports generate and keeps an 87 mm hub from sliding around when you pull a cable.
Nothing to install
Plug and play, no drivers, no power adapter to carry. The box holds the hub, the USB-C adapter and a multilingual quick installation guide.

Singular Expert Insight
The USB-C adapter is what this hub is sold on, and it is worth being honest about it: an adapter in the box is not the same as a native USB-C connector. It is excellent when one hub has to serve a desktop and a laptop, or when a hub lives in a bag and meets whatever machine is in the meeting room. It is a small liability when the hub never moves and the adapter simply becomes another thing to lose — in that case HUBBIES07B is the better buy for the same money class. Otherwise this is a sound aluminium hub for flash drives, receivers and one external SSD.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You have both USB-A and USB-C machines and want one aluminium hub that plugs into either, with the adapter supplied rather than bought separately.
Skip it if
Skip it if the hub will live permanently on a USB-C-only laptop — buy the native version instead — or if you need power for several drives, video or Ethernet.
Also consider
Conceptronic HUBBIES07B for a native USB-C plug in the same aluminium body, or a hub with its own mains adapter if several drives will run at once.
