Conceptronic ETTA07B20 USB-C to USB-C Cable — 20 Gbit/s, 2 m
USB 3.2 Gen 2x220 Gbit/sPD 100 W2 m
The Conceptronic ETTA07B20 is a 2 m USB-C to USB-C cable with up to 20 Gbit/s (USB 3.2 Gen 2x2) data transfer and USB Power Delivery up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) with e-marker chip, made for connecting USB-C laptops, phones, tablets and accessories directly to each other or to a USB-C charger.
At 20 Gbit/s the cable can feed a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 SSD at around 2,000 MB/s — but only if both the computer port and the drive support Gen 2x2. Most laptops stop at 10 Gbit/s, in which case the cable runs at 10 Gbit/s.
USB-C cables look alike but differ in three ways: data speed (from 480 Mbit/s up to 40 Gbit/s), power (60 W, 100 W or 240 W) and video support. This one is 20 Gbit/s with USB Power Delivery up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) with e-marker chip — check those two numbers against what your device needs.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Conceptronic ETTA07B20 USB-C to USB-C cable, 2.0 m, braided
What It Means in Practice
- Length 2 m: long enough to reach from a wall socket or a PC under the desk to a sofa, bed or desktop, so the device can be used while it charges.
- Power: USB Power Delivery up to 100 W (20 V / 5 A) with e-marker chip. The charger and the device negotiate the actual wattage; the cable only sets the upper limit.
- Video: up to 4K at 60 Hz over DisplayPort Alt Mode, if the laptop USB-C port outputs video and the monitor accepts USB-C input.
- Symmetrical: either end can go into the charger or the device.
- Plug-and-play: no driver needed on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android or iPadOS.
What Will Not Work
- No 240 W (USB PD 3.1 EPR) charging — the cable tops out at 100 W, so 140 W+ gaming laptops will not get full power.
- Not a Thunderbolt 4/5 or USB4 cable — docks and eGPU enclosures that require Thunderbolt/USB4 will not work at full function.
- No 8K or high-refresh video is published — plan on 4K at 60 Hz.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I charge a laptop with it?
Yes, if the laptop charges over USB-C Power Delivery and its charger fits within the cable rating (PD 100 W). A laptop that needs more than that will charge more slowly or warn about a low-power charger.
Does the cable carry video?
Yes — up to 4K at 60 Hz via DisplayPort Alt Mode, provided the source port supports video output.
Does it matter which end goes where?
No. Both ends are identical USB-C plugs, and USB-C itself decides which side is the power source.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
This is the one-cable-does-everything option for a modern laptop: 100 W charging, 4K60 video to a USB-C monitor and 20 Gbit/s for the fastest USB SSDs. Most users will never hit 20 Gbit/s — the real value is having one 2 m cable that charges, displays and transfers. For a matching charger see our
laptop power supplies.
✓ Buy it if you want one braided 2 m cable for 100 W laptop charging, a USB-C monitor and fast SSDs.
✕ Skip it if you need 240 W charging, Thunderbolt docks or 8K video.
→ Also consider For Thunderbolt docks or eGPUs, a certified Thunderbolt 4 / USB4 cable; for simple phone charging, a cheaper USB 2.0 USB-C cable.
