The HP 653A Magenta is an original HP LaserJet toner cartridge rated for approx. 16,500 pages (ISO/IEC 19798), made for the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M680 series, including the Flow MFP M680z. It suits busy departments and print rooms that run high colour volumes on a single enterprise MFP.

It is a large-capacity cartridge with HP ColorSphere toner, so one cartridge covers months of normal office colour printing on these machines. Magenta is offered in one yield only; there is no higher-yield 653X magenta.

• The page count is the manufacturer's declared yield, measured with the ISO/IEC 19798 test method (about 5% coverage per page). Photos, full-page graphics and heavy fills use more toner, so real-world counts are often lower.
• Each colour is a separate cartridge — replace only the colour the MFP reports as low.
• Only the black of this series has a high-yield version (HP 653X, CF320X); cyan, magenta and yellow come in the 653A yield.
• Store unopened cartridges flat in their original packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat, and open the sealed bag only when you install it.
• Before ordering, check the code printed on the cartridge currently in your printer, or the supplies page of the printer menu — matching that code is the fastest way to be sure.

• Printers that are not on the compatible list below, even models with a similar name — supply codes are model-specific.
• Smaller HP Color LaserJet Pro or Enterprise printers — the 653 series is specific to the M680 MFP family.
• It does not replace the cyan, yellow or black cartridge — each colour has its own code.
