Cougar GEX850 850W
850W 80+ GoldFully Modular105°C Japanese Caps120mm HDB Fan
The Cougar GEX850 is a fully modular 850-watt ATX power supply with 80 PLUS Gold efficiency, designed as a high-value choice for gaming PCs and everyday high-performance builds. Carrying the part number CGR GEX-850, it combines 105°C Japanese capacitors, an efficient LLC + DC-DC platform with Tri-Sense voltage regulation, and a quiet 120mm Hydro-Dynamic-Bearing fan. Its single strong +12V rail and six PCIe 6+2 connectors comfortably power a high-end graphics card. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility & fit
The GEX850 delivers GPU power through six PCIe 8-pin (6+2) connectors — it does not have a native 16-pin 12VHPWR / 12V-2x6 cable. To run an RTX 40/50-series card, use the PCIe-to-12VHPWR adapter included with the graphics card. Two CPU 4+4 cables cover dual-EPS motherboards. Standard ATX size (160mm deep); full-range 100–240V input runs natively on Cyprus 230V mains.

Singular Expert Insight
The GEX is Cougar’s value 80 PLUS Gold line, and the GEX850 is a sensible, well-built choice for a high-end single-GPU build on a budget: fully modular, 105°C Japanese capacitors and a quiet HDB fan. Its one limitation is the lack of a native 12VHPWR cable, so RTX 40/50 owners will use the GPU’s adapter. If you want a native 12V-2x6 connector and ATX 3.1 compliance, step up to a newer unit; but for dependable Gold-rated power at a keen price, the GEX850 is a strong-value PC power supply.
