Cougar POLAR X2 1050W
1050W ATX 3.180 PLUS PlatinumNative 12V-2x6100% Japanese Caps
The Cougar POLAR X2 1050W is a fully modular 1050-watt ATX 3.1 power supply with 80 PLUS and Cybenetics Platinum efficiency, built for high-end gaming PCs and creators who want premium, future-ready power. Carrying the part number CGR-PRX2-1050, it is the ATX 3.1 successor to the original POLAR, adding a native 12+4-pin 12V-2x6 cable (650mm, no 6+2 adapter needed) for next-generation PCIe 5.0 graphics cards. It pairs 100% Japanese capacitors, a 200% power-excursion margin and a near-silent 135mm Zero-Noise fan. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility & fit
Includes a native 12+4-pin 12V-2x6 cable (600W) for PCIe 5.0 / RTX 40 & 50-series cards — no 6+2 adapter required — plus seven PCIe 6+2 connectors for older GPUs. Two CPU connectors (1× 4+4 + 1× 8-pin) cover dual-EPS motherboards. Note the 180mm-deep body — confirm your case supports a 180mm PSU. Full-range 100–240V input runs natively on Cyprus 230V mains.

✓Silent builds (135mm Zero Noise mode, 22 dB(A))
Key Features
80 PLUS & Cybenetics Platinum
Dual Platinum certification (up to 92% efficiency) keeps energy waste below 7%, lowering electricity costs, heat and noise under load.
Native 12V-2x6, ATX 3.1
A native 12+4-pin 12V-2x6 cable (650mm, no 6+2 adapter) feeds PCIe 5.0 GPUs directly, and the unit passes ATX 3.1’s 200% power-excursion tests.
100% Japanese capacitors
Premium 100% Japanese capacitors, conformal coating and tight 2% voltage regulation deliver stable, long-lasting power, with a 100,000-hour MTBF.
135mm Zero-Noise HDB fan
A 135mm Hydro-Dynamic-Bearing fan with Zero Noise mode stays silent up to 40% load (avg 22 dB(A)), with automatic fan-curve tuning.

Singular Expert Insight
The POLAR X2 is Cougar’s flagship Platinum unit brought fully up to date: it keeps the original POLAR’s strengths — Platinum efficiency, 100% Japanese capacitors, near-silent 135mm fan — and adds a native 12V-2x6 cable and ATX 3.1 compliance. For a high-end PCIe 5.0 gaming or creator build, it is an excellent, future-ready PC power supply, and the 10-year warranty adds confidence. Choose it over the original POLAR if you want the native 12V-2x6 connector; step up to the 1200W model only if you need extra headroom.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a premium 1050W ATX 3.1 Platinum PSU with a native 12V-2x6 cable, 100% Japanese caps and near-silent cooling for a high-end PCIe 5.0 build.
Skip it if
Your build is a mid-range single-GPU system needing only 650–750W — a smaller Gold-rated unit would be more cost-effective.
Also consider
The POLAR X2 1200W for more headroom, or the original POLAR 1050W if you do not need a native 12V-2x6 cable.
