The Datalogic STD-G040-BK is the G040 Basic Stand in dark black for the Gryphon I GD4100 series, a simple counter stand that holds the handheld scanner upright so cashiers can scan items hands-free or put the scanner down safely between scans.
It belongs to Datalogic's G040 accessory family for the Gryphon I 4000 generation, so it is the right choice when you are keeping existing Gryphon I scanners in service rather than moving to the newer Gryphon 4200 or 4500.
Before you order: This is the G040 stand for the older Gryphon I generation. The current Gryphon 4200 and 4500 series use G041 accessories, so for a newer Gryphon order STD-G041-BK or HLD-G041-BK instead.

- It is a plain mechanical stand: it does not switch the scanner into presentation mode by itself; configure the scanner if you want it to read continuously while in the stand.
What Will Not Work
- Not listed for Gryphon 4200 or Gryphon 4500 series scanners, which use the G041 family.
- Not for QuickScan, PowerScan or Heron scanners.
- Does not charge a cordless scanner; it is not a base station.
