The Datalogic Gryphon I GD4590 is the multi-interface variant of the premium Gryphon 4500 series, offering the same outstanding 1 Megapixel omnidirectional 2D imaging as the GD4520 but with full multi-interface support: USB, RS-232, Keyboard Wedge (KBW), and RS-485. This makes the GD4590 the right choice for environments with legacy POS systems, IBM terminals, or RS-232 connected hosts that cannot use USB. Motionix technology automatically switches between handheld and presentation scanning modes. The scanner-only variant ships without a cable — choose and pair the appropriate interface cable for your specific host system.

GD4590 vs. GD4520: Same premium 1 Megapixel imager, same Motionix technology, same IP52/1.8m drop durability. The only difference is interface support: GD4590 adds RS-232, KBW, and RS-485 on top of USB. If you only need USB, the GD4520 is the simpler and often more cost-effective choice.
