The black Datalogic GM4500-BK-433K1 is a cordless 1D/2D imager kit for checkout, picking and general business data entry. It includes one scanner, a WLC4090-BK-433 radio/charging base and USB cable 90A052258. The scanner talks to the base over 433 MHz STAR radio; the base connects by USB to the host application. It is not the GBT Bluetooth version and does not pair directly with a phone as a Bluetooth keyboard.

Before you order:
A host computer or POS with a suitable receiving application is required. USB is supplied; RS-232 requires the correct separate cable. The quoted 4-hour charge time uses external 12 V power; an external power supply is not confirmed as part of this kit.

What It Means in Practice

  • Connect the base to the host, link the scanner and set the host/keyboard format with Aladdin or programming barcodes. Test a scan inside the target application.
  • Walk to a nearby bulky item, scan its label and return the reader to the cradle for contactless charging. The host application handles prices or stock updates.
  • The 50 m radio figure is an open-air reference, not the optical reading distance. For example, the stated QR 10 mil range is 5.5–24.0 cm.

What Will Not Work

  • This is not a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi scanner and is not a standalone inventory terminal.
  • HD optics, Digimarc red-illumination and healthcare variants are separate configurations.
