Dell Pro Premium Compact Mouse MS7421W — Graphite Black
3 devices: Bluetooth 5.0 + 2.4 GHz1000 / 1600 / 2400 / 4000 DPIUp to 6 months per chargeUSB-C charging, 80 g
The Dell MS7421W in Graphite Black — now sold by Dell as the Pro Premium Compact Mouse, formerly the Premier Rechargeable Wireless Mouse — is a slim 80 g office mouse that pairs with up to three devices over Bluetooth 5.0 and a 2.4 GHz link and switches between them with a button. Dell publishes four DPI levels from 1000 to 4000, seven buttons including a tilt wheel, a rechargeable battery rated for up to six months with a three-hour USB-C charge, and a two-minute top-up that Dell says covers a full working day. Dell’s order code for this colour is 570-BBDM (part CT2FX).
Compatibility — check before buying:
The mouse charges over USB-C and Dell ships a USB-C to USB-C cable, so a laptop or charger with a USB-C port is needed to charge it. Bluetooth mode requires a Bluetooth 5.0 / BLE host. DPI is changed only through Dell Peripheral Manager on Windows — on macOS and ChromeOS it stays at the 1600 DPI default. Dell’s datasheet lists the cable and documentation in the box while its support article also mentions a Dell Universal Dongle; tell us if you need the 2.4 GHz receiver confirmed before ordering.
Best For
✓ Executives and hybrid workers with a laptop, a desktop and a tablet
✓ Dell Latitude, XPS and Precision owners who want matching design and one management tool
✓ Travellers who want a mouse that charges in minutes from the laptop
✓ Clean desks: no AA batteries, no dock
✓ Small to medium hands and a low-profile grip
✓ Fleet deployments that want Dell’s 3-year exchange cover
Key Features
Three devices, one button
Pair over Bluetooth 5.0 with Microsoft Swift Pair or over 2.4 GHz, then hold the device button for three seconds to add a device and tap it to switch between three of them.
Six months on a charge
Dell rates the lithium-polymer battery at up to six months per full charge (about three hours over USB-C) and says a two-minute charge gives a full day of use. LED shows charging and low-battery states.
Seven buttons and a tilt wheel
Left, right, forward, back and a wheel that clicks, tilts left and tilts right for horizontal scrolling; five buttons are programmable in Dell Peripheral Manager.
Compact and light
101.8 × 61.9 × 35.4 mm and 80 g with a patterned grip — it disappears into a laptop sleeve and fits smaller hands.

Singular Expert Insight
The MS7421W is the lightest three-device mouse in our wireless mice at 80 g, and the only one here with a six-month rechargeable battery backed by a 3-year Dell exchange warranty, which is why corporate buyers standardise on it next to Dell laptops and docking stations. It is not a large-hand or ergonomic-angle mouse: if you have big hands or want a vertical posture, the Logitech Lift or the Trust Bayo+ suit better. Send us your laptop model and we will confirm Swift Pair and USB-C charging compatibility.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a slim, premium three-device mouse with months of battery life, USB-C charging and Dell’s 3-year cover, and your hands are small to medium.
Skip it if
You have large hands, want an ergonomic angle, or need on-mouse DPI switching without Windows software.
