The Alienware Tri-Mode Wireless Gaming Keyboard AW920K (AW920K-G-WW) is a full-size mechanical gaming keyboard with CHERRY MX Red switches, 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.1 for up to three devices and a wired USB mode, in US English layout and the Dark Side of the Moon (dark grey) finish. It has per-key AlienFX RGB, double-shot PBT keycaps, a volume dial and a media rocker, a 1000 Hz polling rate and a battery Dell rates at up to 110 hours. In the box: keyboard, 2 m removable USB-C to USB-A cable, 2.4 GHz dongle, a dongle extender with magnetic snap charging, quick-start guide and an Alienware sticker.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the wireless tri-mode AW920K. Do not confuse it with the wired-only AW420K or the older AW510K, which are different keyboards. Layout is US English and the switch is CHERRY MX Red (linear) only; Dell does not offer other switches on this model. The switches are soldered, not hot-swappable — if you want to change switches later, look at the Alienware Pro Wireless instead. Alienware Command Center handles lighting, macros and profiles on Windows (Dell’s store page states Windows 11; the support guide says Windows 10 or later). The 2.4 GHz dongle needs a USB-A port; the extender puts it on the desk with a magnetic snap that also charges the keyboard.

No. The AW420K is wired only. The AW920K adds 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.1, a battery and the magnetic dongle extender, and is the model on this page.
Can I swap the switches?
No — the CHERRY MX Red switches are soldered. Keycaps are standard MX-stem, so keycap sets fit. For hot-swap, see the Alienware Pro Wireless.
How many devices can it pair with?
Three over Bluetooth, plus one over the 2.4 GHz dongle and one wired. Switch between them from the keyboard.
Does the 110-hour battery figure apply with RGB on?
Dell publishes 110 hours without stating the lighting level. With per-key RGB at full brightness the real figure will be lower; turn lighting down for the longest run time.
