The Delock 63171 turns one USB-A port into four at up to 5 Gbps, and its distinguishing feature is where those four sockets sit: along the side of the body rather than at the end. That keeps four plugged-in devices fanning sideways instead of sticking straight out from a laptop, which is the practical difference on a crowded desk or a narrow tray table. The body is 90 x 30 x 13 mm in metal, with a 20 cm cable including the connector and a Genesys Logic GL3510 controller.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB-A, so a USB-C-only laptop needs an adapter or a different hub. It is bus-powered with no DC input — Delock publishes no auxiliary power socket on this model, so the four ports share whatever the host supplies. That is fine for flash drives, keyboards, mice, card readers and one bus-powered SSD; it will not run two spinning hard drives, and mains-powered devices still need their own supply. Delock lists Windows 8.1, 10 and 11, macOS 12.4 or newer, Linux kernel 5.13 or newer, ChromeOS, and specifically the PlayStation 5 and Surface Pro 7. There is no video output and no Ethernet.
