Delock 87445 — 4-Port USB 2.0 External Hub
4 x USB-A at 480 Mbps23 cm fixed cable5 V DC socket70 mm body
The Delock 87445 is a small four-port USB 2.0 hub on a short 23 cm cable, in a 70 x 30 x 12 mm body. What lifts it above the cheapest hubs in the class is the DC socket on the side: when four devices between them ask for more current than the computer will supply, you can feed the hub externally rather than replace it.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps, roughly ten times slower than a 5 Gbps hub. It is the right tool for keyboards, mice, barcode scanners, keypads, dongles and card readers, and the wrong one for external drives. The plug is USB-A. The 5 V DC jack is 1.35 x 3.5 mm and no power supply is included — Delock lists the Navilock 41337 (5 V / 2 A, 10 W) as the matching optional accessory. Delock’s published operating systems are Windows only, from 2000 through 11; macOS and Linux are not listed for this article, though a plain USB 2.0 hub needs no driver on either. There is no video output and no Ethernet.
Best For
✓ Desks and counters with several small USB devices
✓ Barcode scanners, keypads and card readers
✓ Older Windows machines where USB 2.0 is what is available
✓ Positions where extra current may be needed later
✓ Kiosks and signage PCs
✓ A cheap spare hub to keep in a drawer
Key Features
A power socket on a small hub
Most hubs this size are sealed bus-powered units. The 1.35 x 3.5 mm DC jack means a hub that starts dropping a scanner can be fixed with an inexpensive 5 V supply instead of a replacement.
Four ports, small footprint
70 x 30 x 12 mm. It takes almost no desk depth, which suits a counter or a shelf where a longer strip-shaped hub would not fit.
Short, tidy cable
23 cm excluding connectors — enough to reach round the side of a machine without leaving slack coiled on the desk.
Plain and driver-free
USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps, plug and play. Nothing to install on machines that may not accept new software.

Singular Expert Insight
The DC socket is what separates this from the pile of unbranded four-port hubs it sits next to. It does not arrive powered — you buy the supply separately — but it means a scanner that keeps dropping out becomes a small accessory purchase rather than a replacement hub. Treat the speed honestly: USB 2.0 belongs to keypads, scanners and dongles, so keep external hard drives off it and expect even USB flash drives to feel slow for large files. And check the item number — Delock sells a bigger, mains-powered hub under exactly the same product name.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need four USB sockets for small, low-speed devices in the smallest possible footprint, and you want the option to add power later.
Skip it if
Skip it if speed matters, if the devices are external drives, if you expected an adapter in the box, or if your computer has only USB-C ports.
Also consider
Delock 61393 if you want the same four ports with a mains adapter and a longer detachable cable, or a USB 3.0 hub if any device moves real data.
