The Delock 95272 is a M.2 2242 2.5 Gigabit LAN module that adds a 2.5 Gigabit RJ45 port to a PC or mini PC through a free M.2 slot. The small M.2 2242 module connects by a 25 cm cable to an RJ45 port on a slot bracket, so a spare M.2 slot becomes a 2.5G network port. It uses the Intel i225V controller and connects at 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps. A dedicated network card is the usual fix when the onboard port has failed, when the machine needs a second, separate network, or when it should move to a faster link than the motherboard offers.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the slot: the module needs a free M.2 slot with key M or B+M that is wired for PCIe (not a SATA-only M.2 slot), plus a free slot opening in the case for the RJ45 bracket. 2.5 Gbps needs a 2.5G partner: the switch or router port must support 2.5GBASE-T, otherwise the link runs at 1 Gbps. Cat5e cable is enough. M.2 is not always PCIe: SATA-only M.2 slots will not work. Operating systems listed by Delock: Windows 10/11. Send us the PC or server model and we confirm the fit.

Will it fit my computer?
It needs a free M.2 slot with key M or B+M that is wired for PCIe (not a SATA-only M.2 slot), plus a free slot opening in the case for the RJ45 bracket. Full-height and low-profile brackets are supplied.
Will I get 2.5 Gbps?
Only when the switch or router port supports 2.5GBASE-T. Connected to a normal Gigabit port it runs at 1 Gbps.
