The Delock 65529 plugs into a phone or tablet with a Micro USB port and OTG support and turns it into something that can read memory cards and take USB devices. It carries three USB-A sockets and four card slots — SD, microSD, M2 and Memory Stick — in a 66 mm square black body, with a 5 V DC input so the phone does not have to power everything itself.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Check three things before ordering. First, the host plug is Micro USB Type-B and your device must support USB OTG. A USB-C phone or tablet will not take it without an adapter, and neither will a PC — this is not a computer card reader. Second, only one memory card can be used at a time even though there are four slots, and the data medium must be formatted FAT32. Third, the box contains a USB power cable but no mains adapter: the 5 V barrel jack is fed from a USB power source you already own, and without it the phone supplies everything through a Micro USB port. Delock publishes no transfer-speed figure for this product at all — the Micro USB Type-B connector it uses is a USB 2.0 connector, so plan for USB 2.0 behaviour rather than SuperSpeed. If you want the same idea on a modern phone, Delock’s 64064 is the USB-C version with two ports, and the 91721 is the PC version with a USB 3.0 Type-A plug.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it work with my phone?
Only if the phone has a Micro USB port and supports USB OTG. Most Android phones from that generation do; iPhones do not, and a USB-C phone needs an adapter. Tell us your model and we will check it before you order.
Can I read two cards at once?
No. Delock states explicitly that only one memory card can be used at a time, even though four slots are present.
Why will my drive not show up?
Two usual reasons: the medium is not formatted FAT32, which Delock requires, or the phone cannot supply enough power. Connect a USB power source to the 5 V jack with the supplied cable and try again.
Is a power adapter included?
No. The box has a USB power cable that feeds the 5 V jack from any USB power source you already own. There is no mains plug in the box.
Singular Expert Insight
This is an older-generation accessory and it should be bought for what it is: a card reader and port expander for a Micro USB phone or tablet, not a computer hub. The OTG requirement, the FAT32 limit and the one-card-at-a-time rule are all Delock’s own words, and they matter more than any speed figure — which Delock does not publish for this item in any case. If your phone is USB-C, do not buy this with an adapter; ask us for the USB-C equivalent instead. If the target is a PC, you want a proper computer reader and USB stick setup rather than an OTG accessory.
