The Delock 83989 is a 2 m passive cable with a mini DisplayPort 1.1a male plug on one end and a DVI-D 24+1 male plug with screws on the other, for connecting a Mini DisplayPort laptop, PC or graphics card directly to a DVI monitor. It uses an NXP PTN3361 level shifter for single-link DVI at up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz, with 32 AWG copper conductors, triple shielding and gold-plated contacts.
Compatibility Note: Passive cable: the Mini DisplayPort source must support DP++ (dual-mode), and the signal runs one way only, from Mini DisplayPort to DVI. No audio is carried.
