Delock Mini USB-C Memory Stick — 128 GB in a 29.5 mm Metal Body
USB Type-C, 5 Gbps29.5 mm long, 5 gMetal housingKey chain in the box
The Delock Mini Memory Stick (item 54085) is a 128 GB USB-C flash drive in a metal body just 29.5 mm long and 5 g — small enough to leave permanently in a laptop or tablet without it catching on anything. Delock supplies a key chain in the box, and rates it at up to 100 MB/s read over a 5 Gbps USB-C connection. It is plain storage: no encryption, no software, nothing to configure.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is the USB-C version, and Delock sells three near-identical drives that are easy to confuse. Item 54085 (this one) has a USB-C connector only and will not fit a rectangular USB-A port. Item 54072 is the same 128 GB in USB-A only, and Delock rates that one higher at 111 MB/s read and 89 MB/s write. Item 54076 carries both connectors. Check which ports you actually need before ordering, because the titles differ by a few words. Note also that Delock publishes no write speed for the 54085 — it publishes both figures for the USB-A 54072, so the omission here is real rather than an oversight on our part, and we will not substitute a number. Delock lists Windows 8.1 to 11, macOS 10.15.6 and later, Linux kernel 5.4 and later, Chrome OS 83 and later, Android 9.0 and later, iPad Pro 2018 and Surface Pro 7 as supported, and requires a free USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port.
Best For
✓ USB-C laptops and tablets with no spare space
✓ A drive small enough to leave plugged in
✓ Android phones and tablets with USB-C
✓ Carrying documents and photos on a keyring
✓ Chromebooks and Surface devices
✓ Machines where a full-size stick blocks the next port
Key Features
29.5 mm and 5 grams
This is the smallest drive on this page by a wide margin. At under 3 cm it barely protrudes from a laptop, which is what makes it practical to leave fitted rather than carry loose.
Metal housing
A metal body rather than plastic, which matters more on a drive this small: there is very little material between the connector and the flash inside, and metal takes the twisting a permanently fitted drive gets.
Key chain supplied
Delock puts a key chain in the box — a small thing, but on a drive this easy to lose it is the difference between a useful product and a missing one.
Broad device support
Delock lists Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, the 2018 iPad Pro and the Surface Pro 7. Anything with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port and a current operating system will read it without setup.

Singular Expert Insight
The reason to buy this drive is the 29.5 mm. Everything else on this page sticks out of a laptop far enough to catch on a bag, and this one does not, which makes it the only drive here you can sensibly leave fitted. The metal body is the right decision for that use. What we would not do is buy it on speed. Delock publishes 100 MB/s read and no write figure at all — and it publishes both figures for the USB-A version of the same product, which tells you something. The other thing worth knowing is the warranty: Delock gives storage media twelve months while giving most of its catalogue thirty-six, so on this product our own one-year cover is effectively the whole of it. For a small permanent expansion drive that is a fair trade. For anything you are moving data with, look at the faster drives on this page.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a 128 GB drive small enough to leave permanently in a USB-C laptop or tablet, in a metal body, with a key chain in the box.
Skip it if
Your machines use USB-A ports — item 54072 is the version you want — or you need a published write speed, which Delock does not give for this item.
Also consider
Delock 54072 for the USB-A version at a published 111 MB/s read and 89 MB/s write, or 54076 if you need both connectors on one drive.
