The Delock 61012 is a compact USB 2.0 Bluetooth 5.0 adapter that adds modern Bluetooth to desktop PCs and laptops without it, or replaces a failed internal Bluetooth module. It works in dual mode with Enhanced Data Rate, so it pairs with both Classic Bluetooth devices such as headsets and speakers and Low Energy devices such as modern mice and keyboards.

Inside is the Realtek RTL8761B chipset. Delock specifies a range of up to 20 metres, a data rate of up to 3 Mbps and support for the A2DP audio profile. The adapter is about 3 cm long, is powered from the USB port and has an eyelet for attaching a lanyard so it does not get lost.

Delock lists Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (32/64-bit), with Windows 10 drivers available for download from Delock.

Before you order: Windows 11, macOS and Linux are not in Delock's published OS list for this adapter. If you run Windows 11, send us your details and we will confirm before you order.

Yes, Delock lists the A2DP profile used for stereo audio.
Do I need to install a driver?
Delock provides a Windows 10 driver for download. Install it if Windows does not recognise the adapter automatically.
I have built-in Bluetooth. Can I use this instead?
Yes. Disable the built-in Bluetooth in Device Manager so Windows uses the Delock adapter.
Is 20 m range guaranteed?
Range depends on walls, interference and the other device's own Bluetooth class. 20 m is Delock's rated figure in good conditions.
