The Delock 89944 is a dual-port Gigabit PCIe network card that adds 2 Gigabit RJ45 ports to a desktop PC, workstation or server through a PCIe x1 (V2.0) slot. The Intel 82576 dual-port controller brings PXE boot and good Linux support to a single x1 slot. It uses the Intel 82576 controller and connects at 10/100/1000 Mbps. Standard and low-profile brackets. Several ports on one card are the usual building block for firewalls, virtualisation hosts and servers that need separate networks for users, storage and management.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the slot: the card needs a free PCIe slot; as an x1 card it also fits x4, x8 and x16 slots. Both a full-height and a low-profile bracket are supplied, so it suits standard towers and slim (SFF) cases. Each port links at up to 1 Gbps with standard Cat5e cabling.
