Delock 12004 — Silent Wireless Keyboard, German, Black
Silent keys20 m rangeNano receiverMultimedia F-row
The Delock 12004 is a plain, quiet, full-size wireless keyboard, and its one genuinely unusual number is the range: Delock specifies an operating range of up to 20 metres, roughly twice what most 2.4 GHz keyboards claim, which matters if the computer is across a room or behind a screen. The keys are silent with flat keycaps for what Delock calls a pleasant and soft keystroke, with multimedia functions on F1 to F12, an LED indicator, two adjustable stands and five rubber feet so it stays where you put it. It connects through a compact nano USB receiver on 2.4 GHz (2403.85–2479.85 MHz, max 9 mW), runs from two AAA batteries that are included, and measures 438 × 143 × 21 mm at 646 g. In the box: keyboard, USB receiver, two AAA batteries and the manual.

Layout: German QWERTZ swaps Y and Z, puts Ü, Ö, Ä and ß on dedicated keys and moves most symbols and brackets compared with a US or UK keyboard. Choose it only if you type in German; for English use in Cyprus ask us for the US or UK version of the same model. The link is 2.4 GHz through the supplied nano receiver, which needs a free USB-A port — a USB-C-only laptop needs an adapter or a dock. There is no Bluetooth, so it cannot be paired to a tablet or a phone, and it will not work in the BIOS before the operating system loads. There is no backlight, no palm rest and no mouse in the box — this is a keyboard on its own. Delock lists Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 only, in 32- and 64-bit; there is no macOS or Linux claim. Delock publishes no key count, no key technology, no key travel, no key life rating, no battery runtime and no anti-ghosting figure, so those rows are left out here rather than guessed. This one is the German QWERTZ version, which Delock states explicitly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a mouse come with it?
No. This is a keyboard on its own. Tell us and we will pair it with a quiet wireless mouse from our range.
Is 20 m realistic?
It is Delock’s published figure for open range. Walls and other 2.4 GHz equipment shorten it, as with any wireless keyboard — but it is specified for twice the distance of a typical desk keyboard.
How long do the batteries last?
Delock does not publish a runtime. Two AAA cells are included; we would rather say nothing than print a number Delock has not published.
Which layout is it?
German QWERTZ — Delock states this explicitly for this article number. If you need US or UK, tell us and we will suggest an alternative.
Singular Expert Insight
Buy this one for the range and the silence: it is the keyboard for a machine that is not on the desk in front of you. If you need it on a tablet or in the BIOS, it is the wrong choice. See our
