Delock External USB Sound Card, USB-A Male to 3.5 mm Headphone and Microphone Jacks, 16 bit / 48 kHz, Plug & Play, Black
Delock External USB Sound Card — USB-A to 2 × 3.5 mm Jack
The Delock External USB Sound Card plugs into a USB-A port and adds a 3.5 mm stereo headphone/speaker output and a separate 3.5 mm microphone input to a PC, laptop or tablet. Playback and recording run at up to 16 bit / 48 kHz, and the adapter is Plug & Play — no driver installation needed.
It is a quick fix for computers with a faulty or missing audio jack, for adding a second audio device (for example headset for calls while speakers stay connected), or for avoiding electrical noise from an onboard sound chip. The black ABS housing measures about 38 × 23 × 11.8 mm.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Delock external USB sound card
- 1 × user manual
- Supplied in a retail box
What It Means in Practice
- Plug it in and select "USB Audio" as the output and input in your system sound settings.
- Suitable for video calls, streaming, gaming headsets with separate 3.5 mm plugs and recording a PC microphone.
- On a laptop it can bypass a worn-out internal headphone socket.
- 16 bit / 48 kHz is "DVD audio quality" — fine for music and voice, but not a high-resolution audio DAC.
What Will Not Work
- It will not plug into USB-C-only devices without a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
- It does not provide surround (5.1/7.1) outputs or optical S/PDIF.
- A single-plug TRRS headset will not use its microphone without a splitter.
- It does not amplify passive speakers — use active speakers or headphones.
