The Delock 80028 is a 5 m active USB-C extension cable with a USB-C male plug for the computer and a USB-C female socket for the device, built for reaching webcams, drives, hubs and USB-C peripherals placed far from the PC. Part number 80028 uses a Prolific PL2586 chipset to keep USB transfers at up to 10Gbps over the full length, and supplies 1.5 A to the device, or 2 A with an optional 5 V power supply on its DC jack.
Compatibility Note: The 80028 carries USB data only — it cannot transmit video (no DisplayPort Alt Mode) and is not suitable for USB-C monitors or laptop charging. The optional 5 V / 2 A power supply (Delock 41466) is sold separately.

Can I use the Delock 80028 to extend a USB-C monitor cable?
No. The extension transfers USB data only and cannot carry video signals or laptop charging, so USB-C monitors will not work through it.
When do I need the optional power supply?
When the connected device draws more than 1.5 A, such as some portable drives or hubs. The 5 V / 2 A supply raises the available current to 2 A.
