DICOTA Eco Multi Plus SELECT D31640 — Lockable 14-15.6 inch Laptop Bag
14-15.6 inchLockable metal-reinforced compartment300D recycled PET0.97 kg
The DICOTA Eco Multi Plus SELECT is a 14-15.6 inch laptop bag whose main section is a lockable, metal-reinforced clamshell compartment — the feature the SELECT name refers to — making it a practical choice for anyone who leaves a machine in a car, a shared office or a hotel room. Sold as DICOTA article D31640, it measures 420 × 125 × 300 mm, weighs 0.97 kg and is built from 300D recycled PET with high-density foam padding and a soft Nylex lining around the notebook. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Device fit: DICOTA publishes a maximum device envelope of 385 × 35 × 265 mm for a 14.0-15.6 inch notebook. A 15.6 inch machine thicker than 35 mm will not seat properly.
Tablet pocket is small: the padded slip pocket takes tablets up to 10.5 inch only — a 12.9 inch iPad Pro will not fit.
Capacity in litres is NOT published. DICOTA leaves the volume field empty for this article; any litre figure you find on a reseller page is invented.
Do not confuse it with D31638, the Eco Multi SELECT (without “Plus”) — a different bag two digits away. Both “Plus” and “SELECT” are meaningful: Plus is the larger body, SELECT is the lockable metal-reinforced security spec.
Not checkpoint-friendly: despite the clamshell layout, DICOTA makes no airport checkpoint claim for this model.

Best For
✓ Professionals who need a lockable laptop compartment
✓ Field and site work where the bag gets knocked about
✓ Carrying a 15.6 inch notebook plus documents
✓ Users who want recycled fabric with a real fabric spec
✓ Shoulder carry with a padded, adjustable strap
✓ Parking the bag on a trolley handle when travelling
Key Features
Lockable metal-reinforced clamshell
This is what SELECT means. The main compartment is framed with a metal wireframe and closes with a lockable zipper, so the bag resists both crushing and casual opportunist opening — a genuine difference from an ordinary padded sleeve.
300D recycled PET with HDF padding
The shell is 300D recycled PET, the notebook sits on high-density foam and is lined with soft Nylex to stop scuffing. DICOTA states the main material is made from 8 recycled PET bottles.
Organised without being bulky
A front compartment divides mobile accessories, a smart cable-management system keeps chargers untangled, and an external zipped compartment on the back swallows documents you need at the top of the pile.
Water-repellent and travel-ready
DICOTA describes water-repellent material for comfortable travel in all weathers, and a trolley fastening strap parks the bag on a suitcase handle. Carry is via a riveted padded handle or the adjustable padded shoulder strap.

Singular Expert Insight
The lockable metal-reinforced compartment is the reason to choose this bag over a cheaper clamshell, and it is worth being clear about what it buys you: protection against crushing in a full car boot and against a hand reaching into an unattended bag, not against a determined thief. Everything else here is solid rather than showy — 300D recycled PET, HDF padding, a Nylex-lined laptop bay and DICOTA’s long cut-and-sew warranty. Note that some Icecat-fed shops file it as a “messenger case”; DICOTA never does. If you want a backpack instead of a shoulder bag in the same eco family, compare the DICOTA Eco backpacks in our laptop cases range, and check the device thickness of your machine in our laptops section against the 35 mm limit.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You carry a 14-15.6 inch laptop, want a lockable and metal-reinforced compartment rather than a soft sleeve, and value recycled 300D PET with a stated fabric spec.
Skip it if
You need a backpack, a published litre figure, a 12.9 inch tablet pocket, RFID protection or an airport checkpoint-friendly design — none of those apply here.
Also consider
DICOTA D31638 Eco Multi SELECT if you want the smaller non-Plus body, or a DICOTA Eco backpack if two-shoulder carry and a published volume matter more than the lockable clamshell.
