DICOTA 4-Way Privacy Filter for Apple iPhone 16 Plus

4-Way Privacy FilterAdhesive fixationPrivacy ±30°Touch compatible

The DICOTA 4-Way Privacy Filter D80178-4AD is a screen filter made for the Apple iPhone 16 Plus that darkens the display from the left, right, top and bottom beyond a ±30° viewing angle — aimed at people who check messages, banking apps or work email in public.

Part number D80178-4AD is a PET film with up to 60% light transmission and up to 60% blue-light reduction, and the touchscreen keeps working through it; the surface is anti-glare and antibacterial.

Compatibility note: Model-specific cut (73.3 x 156.3 x 2.0 mm): it fits only the Apple iPhone 16 Plus — other iPhones, even with a similar screen size, need their own DICOTA part number. Apply it to a clean, bare display, not on top of another screen protector.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the D80178-4AD fit a different iPhone with a similar screen size?
No — DICOTA cuts each iPhone filter to one model’s display and sensor layout. For iPhone 14 / 16e / 17e choose D80169-4AD, iPhone 16 Plus D80178-4AD, iPhone 17 D80540-4AD, iPhone 17 Pro D80542-4AD, iPhone 17 Pro Max D80543-4AD and iPhone Air D80541-4AD.
Does a 4-way privacy filter make the screen darker for me too?
Slightly. Light transmission is up to 60%, so most users raise the brightness a step or two. Straight on, the picture stays clear; from beyond ±30° in any direction it turns dark.

Singular Expert Insight

DICOTA’s 4-way adhesive filters are the most complete privacy option for a phone: they darken the screen from every side, not just left and right. The trade-off is up to 40% less brightness, which most users compensate with a small brightness increase.
✓ Buy it if you read confidential messages, banking or work apps on public transport and want privacy from every angle.
✕ Skip it if you prefer a bright, clear display and only want scratch protection.
→ Also consider the matching model: for iPhone 14 / 16e / 17e choose D80169-4AD, iPhone 16 Plus D80178-4AD, iPhone 17 D80540-4AD, iPhone 17 Pro D80542-4AD, iPhone 17 Pro Max D80543-4AD and iPhone Air D80541-4AD.
