Equip 118856 Premium VGA Extension Cable — 20 m, HD-15 Male to Female

20 mHD-15 M/FUp to 1920 x 1080

The Equip 118856 is a 20 m Premium VGA extension cable with an HD-15 male plug on one end and an HD-15 female socket on the other, rated by Equip for analogue video up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz (Full HD). It lengthens an existing VGA cable so a monitor or projector can sit further away from the PC.

It uses double shielded copper conductors, nickel-plated contacts, a PVC jacket and knurled thumbscrews that lock each connector in place — practical for fixed runs in classrooms, meeting rooms and workshops.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Equip 118856 carry audio?
No. VGA is an analogue, video-only interface, so the 118856 carries the picture only. Use a separate 3.5 mm audio cable to the display or speakers, or switch to HDMI if both devices support it.
Can the Equip 118856 connect a PC directly to a monitor?
No. PC and monitor VGA ports are normally female sockets, so this male-to-female extension plugs onto the end of an existing male-to-male VGA cable (or a fixed monitor lead) to add 20 m of reach.
Singular Expert Insight
The Premium 118856 is Equip’s longest 1080p-rated VGA extension: 20 m with double shielding, rated to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, compared with 1024 x 768 for the standard 118806. It suits halls, lecture rooms and signage where a Full HD VGA source must stay at a lectern or rack. Always check the picture at the final run length; for new PC monitors a digital link avoids analogue losses.
✓ Buy it if you need 20 m of extra VGA reach at Full HD.
✕ Skip it if a shorter run or a digital HDMI/DisplayPort connection is possible.
→ Also consider Equip Premium 118855 (15 m) if the distance allows.
